A studio type of an apartment with no lounge or dining table.
OK, first of all, when you book, ask if your room will be facing the basketball court that is on the opposite corner to the Motel. People get out there as soon as the sun pops up and start playing basketball. All you hear is the thud , thud , thud of the ball, then the bang of the backboard. Second of all, the parking costs are around $20 to $25 per night . It is secure parking, but there is not much of it, and if you have a larger vehicle , forget about it. The street parking is free all night and has meters that kick off at 8 am in the morning ( check times in case I am wrong ). Now we had a king room that was OK but not the best I have been in for the price we paid. Don't get me wrong, the room was clean , and the bed was comfortable. The shower and loo were combined, but there was plenty of room. There was ample linen , air con , a wall mounted TV ( very few channels), and a kettle with tea and coffee on hand. Until the basketball kicked off, we were having a great sleep with a beautiful breakfast that arrived shortly after. The motel is well worth the fee, but this was out of school holidays. I'm sure the holidays would add a little to the price. If you choose to stay, I think you'll be satisfied with the room.
The AC worked well. Nice atmosphere when arrived. The only fault I’d like to share is the dustiness of the room. Taking into consideration the amount of rooms that need to be cleaned, cleaners and costs.
Nice place to stay. The rooms were a good size with a huge bathroom that is wheelchair accessible. The bed was comfortable and the hotel is in a good spot with easy tram or car access. Parking was a little tricky but we managed to find a spot each time we returned. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The only thing is the fridge is small and didn't have a freezer and wasn't very cold. Otherwise highly recommend
The room was pretty big for my friend and I. Great location as well. There is parking nearby. You just got to be mindful of the times as well. Overall a pretty good place to stay.
No microwave in room, but with the decent price & cafe downstairs therefore cannot complain. It was with a safe so that made up for it? New style & very comfortable as it was clean & allowed to check-in earlier than two as the room was already cleaned -bonus!!
Very clean rooms but small. No in-house movies. Has a Cafe which is great. Shower water floods the whole bathroom as showers are not designed properly. Had to use towels as a barricade for the water.
I stayed one night, while attending an event on the Gold Coast. My room was very comfortable and clean. Had a great night’s sleep. Very convenient to Main Beach. Good price. Friendly staff. Coffee and breakfast available on site. Minor …
Stayed here from the 19th of January to the 21st in room no 705 first of all the $20 parking the hotel offers is not worth it, it's cheaper to pay for all-day parking on the street or even better park for free where the basketball courts are. Doesn't matter what room you get you don't get a decent view from the tiny window and if you do get a somewhat decent one it's blocked by a sun shade. The hotel had a really foul smell about it especially the aircon once you turn it on. The aircon had restrictions on it, you could not use the cold setting as they locked it on the fan setting (as shown in photos). The Chair in our room has a disgusting brown stain on it and the carpet and to top it all off I found a dirty used rolled-up PAD on top of the shelving in my room (as shown in photos again). Yes, the location is close to shops, restaurants etc but cleanliness is a big no. You get what you pay for yes it is cheap compared to other hotels in Gold Coast but please pay a little more for a decent place
